Application for ASEAN Scholarships for Vietnam Academic Year 2022

APPLICATION FOR ASEAN SCHOLARSHIPS FOR VIETNAM ACADEMIC YEAR 2022

Applications are now open for the ASEAN Scholarships for Vietnam, Academic Year 2022.

The ASEAN Scholarships aim to provide opportunities for the young people of ASEAN to broaden their horizons and develop their potential as well as equip them with important skills such as leadership, communication and other life skills. The ASEAN Scholarship for Vietnam is valid for 4 years for studies in selected Singapore schools from Secondary Three to Pre-University Two leading to the award of a Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education Advanced Level (GCE A-Level) or similar. The Scholarship will provide an annual allowance with hostel accommodation; settling-in allowance; return economy class air passage; school fees and GCE O-Level and A-Level examination fees (once only, if applicable); subsidised medical benefits and accident insurance cover.

Interested students who meet the following eligibility criteria are strongly encouraged to apply online at the Singapore Ministry of Education (MOE) website: (https://www.moe.gov.sg/financial-matters/awards-scholarships/asean-scholarships/vietnam) by 16 May 2021.

• Are nationals of Vietnam;

• Born between 2005 – 2007;

• Currently in Grade 8, 9 or 10;

• Have done consistently well in their examinations; and

• Are proficient in English and have a good record of participation in co-curricular activities.

For students who wish to submit the hard copy of the completed application form directly to the Singapore MOE, they should do so before the closing date of 16 May 2021 at the following address:

Students who wish to seek the Embassy’s assistance in forwarding the hard copy application forms to Singapore MOE should submit directly to the Embassy (not through the Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training or local Departments of Education and Training) by 10 May 2021 at the following address:

Please note that there are 2 modes of application – online and hardcopy application. However, students are strongly encouraged to apply online and only one mode of application should be submitted to the Singapore MOE.
